Can dmt be yellow? i saw some stuff that was supposed to be it but i dont know..?

I read about dmt online and always saw pictures of the crystals up close and white powder. However the kind I saw in real life was a light yellow. I'm thinking there was something special about it, or it wasn't dmt. Any experts?
