Scared to go to cooking club hurry!?

I'm a new student (high school) I picked cooking club but I'm scared. At my old school I don't mind being the only boy because I know people there. But now I'm scared I have no friends so I might be fish out of water..I plan on taking culinay but I have low exp with cooking i might screw up...im so nervous please help me deal with it
