How to recover a deleted number?

I met this guy awhile ago and he texted me from his phone to make sure it was a real number but he accidently deleletd my number and figured i would just call him whe n i got home,when i got home i accidently deleted his number(touch phone accident) i know theres some way you can go on verizon and atleast see who your texting but i think it only lasts for a month so if anyone can help me to what i do to find my text history help me but please hurry!!
